Course descriptions are for Session 7, 2021: Monday, October 4th to Saturday, November 14th. No classes on October 11th and November 11th.     

All in person classes are 55 minutes, unless otherwise indicated.  

Matwork & Springs:

You will do many of the classical Pilates Matwork exercises designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1940s and 50s with many new additions – all designed to develop long, lean muscles. The Pilates Springs offer resistance which means you use your core with every move you make. They are also great for the 3 Bs: bones, back and balance.

Apparatus:

Classes take place on the Pilates apparatus. Please see our video to watch clients working on the Apparatus, but don’t be put off – the clients on the Apparatus are advanced!

Total Pilates:

Total Pilates is a combination of Apparatus, Matwork and Springs – an excellent class to experience the full range of Pilates exercises. 

Athletic Pilates:

Pilates and athletic movements will be incorporated throughout this class.  Increasing heart rate, strengthening exercises, coordination and balance will challenge your entire body. 

Athletic/Stretch Pilates:

This extended class will offer you the benefits of a full body workout and stretching. A variety of athletic and Pilates movements will increase your heart rate, strengthen your core and help improve your balance and coordination. 

Pilates Fusion: 

This class is a combination of Pilates and Yoga. Yoga exercises will be at the start and finish of the class and will help you get the very most out of each of your Pilates exercises. This will be the most effective Pilates session you’ve ever done. 

This course is designed and taught by Penny Perrault, Certified Pilates Instructor and RYT200 Yoga Teacher

The above classes are divided into varying levels explained below:

Multi Level:

These classes have clients with with varying degrees of Pilates experience. All of our teachers are experienced at making sure each person will be challenged at their appropriate level.

Level 1/2:

These classes are suitable for those who have not done Pilates before or haven’t for a long time.

Level 2:

Intermediate level classes suitable for active people who have completed more than one Pilates course with a Certified Teacher. 

Level 2/3:

For intermediate to advanced clients who want to be challenged with more complicated moves requiring greater strength and stamina. The studio reserves the right to deny access to these classes to clients who are not yet considered ready to take these classes.
